Get Skype Last Call

Script Description

Obtains Skype last call information (date, quality, connection, microphone, speaker, etc.). The script is designed for Windows 10 and 7 and Skype for Business 2015 and 2016.

Execution context and suggested scheduling

Run the script as 'interactive user'. The script should be executed manually.

A timeout of 120 seconds is recommended.

Further Information

This remote action relies on Skype logs to browse the last call data recorded.
For Skype to log calls properly, it must have logging attribute set to Full in Skype Options > General menu.

Copy Skype Log Files

Script Description

During execution, script zips and copies collected Skype log files to the network shared folder provided as an input parameter. This script only works with Windows 10.

Execution context and suggested scheduling

Run the script as 'interactive user'. The script should be executed manually.

A timeout of 720 seconds is recommended.

Parameters

Label Description
Network Path Absolute path to the network shared folder where zipped Skype log files should be copied. It should be provided in UNC format (e.g. \\Server\SharedFolderName)
Maximum Delay In Seconds Maximum random delay set to avoid server overload. Provide number of seconds less than 600

Restrictions

Further Information

For Skype to generate rich log files, it must have logging attribute set to Full in Skype Options > General menu.
In multi-domain environment, domains must be in trust relationship. To understand how to configure a network share, to work properly with Nexthink Act, please visit this page.
Expected zip file name on the network path specified will have the format '<computer_name>_skype_logs_yyyy-MM-dd_HH_mm_ss.zip'.
Depending on the amount of data in Skype log directory, process can be quite consuming, both in resources and time.
Please note that, in worst case scenario, Skype log directory could contain several hundreds MB, and the zipped copy sent to the shared folder could have several dozens MB.
