What's New in Nexthink: Helping IT Drive Better Business Outcomes

New Nexthink Infinity innovations empower IT to govern AI, automate remediation, and troubleshoot digital workplace issues faster, enabling faster action, smoother experiences, and stronger business outcomes.

The future of IT requires more than actioning tickets. Modern IT teams are expected to safely enable AI, modernize infrastructure, improve employee productivity, and drive business outcomes in increasingly complex environments. At Nexthink, our approach to continuous innovation helps IT become a transformation enabler, a productivity enabler, and an enabler of business transformation.

Helping IT lead what's next

Every capability introduced in this release reflects our commitment to helping IT evolve alongside the business. Whether it's governing enterprise AI with confidence, giving analysts a more intelligent workspace, accelerating VDI troubleshooting, or expanding observability across devices, applications, networks, and mobile endpoints, every enhancement is designed with the same objective: helping IT reduce workplace friction and become a strategic partner to the business instead of simply reacting to its needs.

That's what our approach to continuous innovation is all about. Not just delivering new features but continuously delivering better ways for IT to understand technology, automate work, improve employee experiences, and create measurable business value. Because the future of IT isn't about keeping up with change. It's about leading it.

Governing AI without slowing innovation

AI is quickly becoming one of the defining technologies of the modern workplace. At the same time, it presents one of IT's biggest governance challenges. Employees are adopting public AI assistants, embedded AI features, enterprise copilots, and custom AI applications faster than governance programs can keep pace. Simply knowing which tools are being used is no longer enough.

New AI tools governance capabilities allow IT teams to quickly classify AI tools as Recommended, Allowed, or Prohibited, apply appropriate access controls, and redirect employees toward approved alternatives when needed.

The latest innovations in Nexthink’s AI Activation Hub, powered by AI Drive, help organizations continuously discover, govern, and optimize AI across the enterprise. IT teams can automatically discover public AI assistants, embedded AI features, enterprise copilots, and custom AI applications while maintaining a living inventory of AI usage across the organization. AI-generated summaries help administrators quickly understand what each tool does before classifying it as Recommended, Allowed, or Prohibited.

Working together with Nexthink Guides (formerly known as Adopt) and AI usage dashboards, organizations can reinforce AI policies directly within AI applications. Furthermore, rather than simply blocking unapproved tools or redirecting users, companies using Nexthink Guides help employees build on what they already know, using personalized, in-app guidance to show them how to accomplish familiar tasks and workflows in approved AI applications, whether that's corporate-approved tools like Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT, or custom AI solutions built by the organization, reducing the learning curve and accelerating adoption. Combined with AI usage dashboards, organizations can then measure the impact of guidance, track adoption trends, identify shadow AI, and demonstrate the business impact of AI rollouts, creating a closed-loop system for continuously improving AI adoption. According to the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Employee Experience Management Tools report, "Through 2030, digital friction caused by poor DEX will inhibit enterprise AI adoption and intended productivity gains." Instead of forcing organizations to choose between innovation and governance, AI Activation Hub helps them confidently achieve both.

Turning investigation into automated action

Supporting employees isn't just about having more data. It's about turning that data into action. That's exactly how Workspace, an IT agent and operational console, continues to evolve. New capabilities make investigations richer and more collaborative by allowing users to upload screenshots directly into conversations and share complete investigation sessions across teams. Expanded intelligence combines device insights, NQL-certified reasoning, internal documentation and curated external knowledge into a single conversational experience, giving users trusted answers without jumping between multiple tools.

With Workspace, move from diagnosis to automated remediation in the same experience, reducing manual effort and accelerating resolution.

Most importantly, Workspace now helps teams move beyond investigation opening up new functionality to less technical users. Teams can progress from diagnosing an issue to recommending and executing remediation within the same workflow, reducing manual effort, minimizing context switching, and helping IT resolve issues significantly faster. By 2028, digital workplace teams that fully operationalize a DEX platform will carry 50% less incident- and experience-driven backlog than teams that do not according to the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Employee Experience Management Tools. It's another step toward a future where AI doesn't simply answer questions. It actively helps IT prevent problems and meaningfully reduce backlogs.

Cutting through VDI complexity

Virtual desktop environments can vary greatly in scale and complexity, making root cause analysis especially difficult as organizations work through VDI migrations. A slow logon, profile issue, overloaded host, storage bottleneck, or application problem can all produce nearly identical symptoms while requiring completely different fixes.

With FSLogix support, IT can quickly pinpoint when Fslogix volumes cause long logons or session failures and proactively monitor volume status and usage to prevent storage bloat, stale profiles, and future mount errors.

New Nexthink VDI Experience enhancements provide deeper visibility across every stage of the virtual desktop lifecycle to help faster pinpoint where issues are originating. New features include:

  • Expanded platform support for Omnissa Horizon and AWS WorkSpaces providing highly-granular performance data and deeper visibility into session health, network connections and resource usage
  • Enhanced logon insights that break down Group Policy processing, profile loading, logon scripts, and time-to-desktop metrics, helping to narrow the scope when triaging slow logon issues
  • FSLogix visibility, including profile and Office container inventory, volume mount timing, and mount failure diagnostics.
  • Deeper infrastructure telemetry across VMware vSphere and Citrix environments to identify overloaded hosts and infrastructure bottlenecks before they impact users.
  • Richer application and networking context to help teams quickly determine whether performance issues originate in the application or network.

Expanding observability across the digital workplace

Recent innovations across the entire Nexthink Infinity Platform expand observability capabilities for both troubleshooting and strategic initiatives. Examples of new enhancements include:

  • Richer CPU, GPU, and NPU telemetry for both devices and applications, providing deeper visibility into modern AI-powered workloads,
  • Application-level I/O insights that make performance bottlenecks easier to identify and resolve.
  • DEX Score explainability, helping IT quickly understand the factors driving improvements or declines in employee experience.
  • Mobile Experience enhancements, including a new Jamf connector alongside existing Intune integrations for broader Mobile insights
  • Expanded networking insights (coming soon) to help isolate issues across VPNs, Wi-Fi, ISPs, and local connectivity before they become widespread disruptions.

Together, these enhancements make every investigation faster, every insight richer, and every decision more informed.

Innovation that never stops

At Nexthink, we believe innovation should happen at the pace our customers need it. New AI tools emerge every week. Employees adopt new ways of working almost overnight. Infrastructure evolves continuously. Business priorities shift faster than ever before. Organizations need more than a platform that keeps up. They need one that stays ahead.

That's why we continuously deliver meaningful innovations that address emerging challenges, improve everyday workflows, and help customers get more value from their technology investments. We're constantly evolving Nexthink to solve today's problems while preparing organizations for tomorrow's opportunities.
