Invoke Configuration Manager SCCM Client Policy Actions

Script Description

Triggers the execution of the desired Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) execution policy on the device.

Execution context and suggested scheduling

Run the script as 'local system'. The script should be executed manually.

A timeout of 720 seconds is recommended.

Parameters

Maximum Delay In Seconds Maximum random delay set to avoid overloading the network. Provide number of seconds less than 600
Policy To Trigger Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) policy which the user wishes to trigger

None.

Further Information

This Remote Action will not wait until the execution of the policy has finished, it will only trigger it.
The allowed input policies are:

Script Description

Restores Configuration Manager (SCCM)-related client services (SMS Agent, BITS, WMI, etc) and retrieves information about Configuration Manager (SCCM) client on devices.

Run the script as 'local system'. The script should be executed manually.

A timeout of 120 seconds is recommended.

Restrictions

Further Information

When restarting Configuration Manager (SCCM)-related services, services with dependent services are not stopped in the first place. For safety considerations, those services are just started in case they were previously stopped.
Keep in mind that many dependent services may affect directly critical functionality of Collector (network, etc).

Invoke Configuration Manager SCCM Client Auto-Repair

Script Description

Executes the Configuration Manager repair based on Microsoft's script center recommendations.

Execution context and suggested scheduling

Run the script as 'local system'. The script should be executed manually.

A timeout of 1080 seconds is recommended.

Further Information

The repair tool can take up to 7 minutes to finish the execution, beyond that the repair will be considered stuck.

This Remote Action only works on Windows 10 devices.

In order to obtain the ID you can perform the following commands depending on whether it is an application or a program.

For Applications - Get-CimInstance -ClassName CCM_Application -Namespace 'root\ccm\clientSDK'.

For Task Sequence and Programs - Get-CimInstance -ClassName CCM_Program -Namespace 'root\ccm\clientSDK'.

Repair WMI

Script Description

Checks if the Winmgmt service is set to start automatically, if not, set its start type as automatic. Also checks if the Winmgmt service is running, if not, it tries to start it. It also tries to repair the WMI repository if it is on a non consistent status.
