Get Network Drives

Script Description

Retrieves the network drives for a user on a device.

Execution context and suggested scheduling

Run the script as 'interactive user'. The script should be executed manually.

A timeout of 120 seconds is recommended.

Parameters

None.

Outputs

Map Network Drive

Script Description

This script allows you to mount SMB shared folders as network drives (e.g. F:\\ to \\\\SERVER\\shared_folder), or to remount them in case they disappeared (which helps to resolve an incident quickly without the need for access to Group Policies).

Execution context and suggested scheduling

Run the script as 'interactive user'. The script should be executed manually.

A timeout of 120 seconds is recommended.

Parameters

Label Description
Drive Letter or letters separated by commas to assign the network drive
Network Path Absolute path or paths separated by commas
Maximum Delay In Seconds Maximum random delay set to avoid overloading of the network. Provide number of seconds less than 600

Further Information

Network paths cannot contain commas. Even though a comma is allowed in Windows paths, it is used by Nexthink to split parameters into multiple values.

This Remote Action will only work on devices that are pre-authenticated or in shared folders where authentication is not required.
