Get Chrome Plugins

Script Description

Retrieves the plugins currently configured for Chrome, in alphabetical order, displaying version and status.

Execution context and suggested scheduling

Run the script as 'interactive user'. The script should be executed manually.

A timeout of 120 seconds is recommended.

Parameters

None.

Further Information

A Chrome browser which version is higher than 65 must be installed.
Chrome installation comes with default extensions that are hidden to the user. However, the Remote Action's output will list them.
These extensions may be, but not limited to:
- Chrome Media Router
- GMail
- Google Drive
- YouTube
- Chrome Web Store Payments.

Get Browser Tabs

Script Description

Provides information about the number of opened tabs from a given browser name.

Execution context and suggested scheduling

Run the script as 'interactive user'. The script should be executed manually.

A timeout of 360 seconds is recommended.

Parameters

Label Description
Campaign Id ID of the campaign to prompt the user about the number of tabs opened. Provide an empty ID to avoid executing this campaign
Browser Name Name of the browser to gather opened tabs. Valid values are: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Internet Explorer
Number Of Tabs Number of tabs to be reached to prompt the user with the campaign. Provide number of tabs lower than 100

Further Information

This script uses Windows Automation. It may take time and resources to gather the tab number.
The script retrieves all tabs of every window opened of the chosen browser.
It has been test with Chrome (83.0.4103.61), Firefox (76.0.1), Internet Explorer (11.836.18362.0) and Chromium-based Microsoft Edge (83.0.478.37).

Test Chrome Plugins Compliance

Script Description

Compares a list of required Chrome plugins against the current ones installed on the device.

Execution context and suggested scheduling

Run the script as 'interactive user'. The script should be executed manually.

A timeout of 120 seconds is recommended.

Parameters

Label Description
Plugins To Check List of comma separated plugins names to check if they are installed. Plugin names must be provided for exact match. To check the status and/or version compliance you can use three different formats. To check only the version, 'name' ('version'). To check only the status, 'name' (Enabled/Disabled). Or to check both, 'name' ('version'; Enabled/Disabled). E.g. Gmail, Docs (Enabled), Google Drive (34.67.0.2; Disabled), Chrome Media Router (7719.805.0.3)
Strict Compliance When 'false', the compliance is met when all provided plugins match the installed ones. When 'true', the compliance is met whet all plugins listed match with the installed ones and those are the only plugins installed

Restrictions

Further Information

The output of Get Chrome Plugins can be copied and pasted directly into PluginsToCheck input parameter, since both use the same format.
If the input enforces an specific version, it will only be compliant if the installed version is exactly the same. A higher version will be not compliant.
