NEXThink architecture has been designed to simplify operations and allow a speedy installation. The system is composed of five main software components:

No impact on workplace or network performance
NEXThink uses ultra-light, driver-based technology called NEXThink Collector. With remote and automated silent installation on desktops (less than 500KB), the NEXThink Collector reports all desktop related activity transparently and in real-time. NEXThink’s patented technology has been designed to have an insignificant performance impact on local desktops (less than 0.015% CPU usage, 500KB Memory) while minimizing network traffic (0.10 kbps).
Without any calculation at the endpoint, all collected data is immediately forwarded to the NEXThink Engine, using a high-performance, in-memory database capable of processing millions of desktop actions across several weeks in just a few seconds. No external database is required.
NEXThink Engine does not set filtering rules at the end-user device, which enables you to do real-time navigation into any object or activity. All necessary information is already stored and indexed, therefore immediately available to be used. With NEXThink’s multi-engine architecture, it can handle hundreds of thousands of desktops with all reported data consolidated into a single NEXThink Portal.
Best of breed visualization technologies
All information outputs are displayed in dashboards, reports and alerts through two main user interfaces:
- NEXThink Finder, the main console for advanced configuration and information analysis
- NEXThink Portal, a Web-based reporting interface for computing and displaying all information related to metrics and trends.
Dashboards can be web-based and accessible via a standard browser as well as scheduled or on-demand PDF documents sent via email.
Collaborative cloud-based library
The NEXThink Library, a cloud-based knowledge database, includes a large set of ready-to-use predefined investigations, reports, templates and application information. This information, packaged and directly delivered into NEXThink Finder, helps you speed-up your configuration and identify potential threats.
Seamless integration with other IT systems
NEXThink architecture easily integrates with other systems such as event monitoring, CMDB and service desk systems through standard interfaces such as mail, syslog or SQL scripting.
