Beck et al secure partnership with NEXThink for enterprise-wide monitoring of end-user computing infrastructure.

November 24, 2009 - Münich, Germany / Lausanne, Switzerland - IT service provider Beck et al. Services and Swiss software vendor NEXThink today announced their new strategic alliance. The main focus of the partnership will be the integration into the Beck et al. consultancy portfolio of a market-leading technology for real-time monitoring, analysis and reporting of desktop activity.

This new service will provide business clients with custom dashboards, which they can use at any time to manage and optimize their desktop environments according to actual endpoint behavior. In addition to significantly lowering desktop TCO, it will enable businesses to improve their technical support services efficiency and to gain a clearer overview of how applications are being used across the business. For example, they will be able to access detailed information about unused licenses, the frequency and type of application usage, compliancy of the necessary security applications and measure the service performance and availability levels delivered to end-users.

This application will from now on be integrated into the IT service strategy at Beck et al. It extends the IT service management specialists' range of consultancy services to include comprehensive support for delivering performing desktop services, and for feeding monitoring results back into business processes to include end-user impact performance metrics.

"Our partnership with NEXThink represents a significant milestone in developing our services to close the gap between IT and business operations. This monitoring of real-time activities throughout a business's IT infrastructure provides IT staff with detailed and useful information vis-à-vis the company management", says Siegfried Lautenbacher, Managing Director at Beck et al. Services.

"Real-time desktop monitoring and IT service management go hand in hand. That's why Beck et al. is the ideal partner for us", says Philippe Eyries, Chairman of the Board at NEXThink. Both companies have agreed to initially target businesses in the financial and healthcare sectors in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
